Theory and practice of film and video editing techniques. Exploration of traditional film cutting as well as digital non-linear editing. Exercises in narrative, documentary and experimental approaches to structuring moving image materials. Graduate students will have a supplemental reading list as determined by the instructor and will be responsible for an additional practice assignment and or/ writing assignment linking course content to graduate thesis work.
