Students enrolled in AMI classes and individual projects have access to AMI production equipment. Use of equipment by persons not currently enrolled in AMI classes or for projects that are not part of AMI course work is not permitted. See the AMI equipment policy.
Production workshops for courses are frequently conducted in the Duke Recording Studios in the basement of the Bryan Center.
Students not enrolled in AMI Production courses make checkout single chip DV cameras from the circulation desk at Lilly Library.
Students enrolled in AMI classes have exclusive access to the AMI edit labs. These include analogue 16mm editing tables and a Moviola flatbed as well as individual digital editing project studios with digitizing decks, external NTSC production monitors and Apple G5s running Final Cut Pro Production Suite, After Effects and Photoshop. In addition, AMI maintains a dedicated digital editing lab with Final Cut Pro editing stations in the basement of the Bryan Center. Students enrolled in FVD classes are able to check out keys to these edit suites and labs, providing them 24/7 access to these facilities.
Students who take a course that meets in the Smith Arts Warehouse, near East Campus on Buchanan Avenue, have access to this state of the art multimedia center.
